Installing the Veranda is quite simple though it is important you familiarise yourself with the following information before proceeding.
Concrete Blocks
Concrete blocks are not provided as standard. There are several methods of mounting the posts without these blocks. If you have a solid floor area then the plates can be bolted direct to the floor or sunk slightly to be below ground level. If there is any doubt then concrete can be applied beneath the area to provide a solid base.
Concrete blocks can be purchased as an extra if required.
Measurement H1
The H1 measurement varies depending on the projection of Veranda you choose.
2000mm projections H1 = 2365mm
2500mm projections H1 = 2430mm
3000mm projections H1 = 2495mm
Measurement H2
Each Veranda is manufactured to have a 7.5° pitch. On the above chart the H2 measurement is 2100mm.
We supply each post at 2500mm so that you have the option to sink into the ground of you require. For surface mounting, the post will need to be cut to size at point of installation. This is also useful to overcome any descrepancies with the level of the ground.
Measurement B
This is the overall width of the Veranda.
Measurement D
This is the projection and it is measured from the wall to the front of the post. Please note that there is a slight overhang on the gutter profile and also the base fixing plate of approximately 50mm.
