Our Sun Awnings

Here at Sun Awnings Direct we believe in keeping things simple. This is why we have chosen to supply only three main Sun Awning types.

The Standard Awning

The Phoenix is our budget awning. It does not have a cassette as such, more a cover. This means that when the awning is closed the fabric and arms are still visible.

You can choose either manual operation (via a hand crank) or electric operation with choices for hard wired switches or remote control operation.

Do not be fooled by it's price - the Phoenix Awning is still manufactured from high grade aluminium, stainless steel fixings and high quality fabric.

The Semi Cassette Awning

The Porta is our mid range Sun Awning. It is a semi cassetted Awning that means that the fabric and arms are visible from the underside of the Awning.

The rounded profile of the awning makes for an extremely aesthtically pleasing product when the Awning is in use or when fully retracted. The fron bar sits snuggly with the top of the cassette keeping the fabric and mecahnism well protected from the elements.

The operation of the Porta can be either manual or electric and can be made in widths up to 6m and projections of 3m.

Like all of our Patio Awnings, the Porta Awning is made only from the highest quality materials.

The Full Cassette Awning

The Carino is our luxury model. You really will struggle to find a more attractive compact Awning. This is a fully cassetted Sun Awning which means that, once the Awning is retracted, you will see no arms or fabric. This ensures that your Awning fabric and mechanism remains in pristine condition ready for the next sunny day!

This is an electrically operated Awning and as such, there is no manual crank option. You can still choose a range of options for electric operation including hard wired and wireless solutions by two different manufacturers.

This beautiful Patio Awning is made from only the highest quality components and is ideal for those looking for a sleek, stylish and practical investment for their homes.

Our Awning Motors

We do not use Chinese motors in our Sun Awnings. We choose to offer a choice of motors. Somfy who are market leaders in tubular motor technologies and are well respected throughout the world. Nice are a lesser known up and coming Italian brand that offer quality Awning solutions at a lower cost.

Choose from hard wired Awning motors or those with integrated receivers requiring you to simply plug in your Awning to a standard plug socket and operate it using a remote control.

Whichever brand of motor you choose you can be assured of the quality by our 5 year guarantee on all products.

Somfy and Nice manufacture a complete range of compatible products including remote controls, sun and wind sensors that compliment your Sun Awning.

Our Fabric

The fabric can one of the most important parts of your Sun Awning. Not only is it important that it remains resitant to rot, it is often vital that it offers you maximum protection from the damaging rays of the sun.

We use world renown Dickson fabrics which are 100% acrylic and provide extremely high levels of UV protection. The fabrics are coated to repel dirt and protect against rot.
