Here is a step by step guide about how to place your order for your custom made Patio Sun Awning
We have tried to keep the ordering process of our Sun Awnings very simple.
1. Select your size
Firstly you need to decide on the size of your Sun Awning. The size is based on the overall cassette width and the projection is the measurement from the back of the cassette to the front of the extended front plate.
To achieve the best coverage it is recommended that you always try to get the maximum width and projection that you can to stop the sun leaking through the sides. If you are looking shade a window or patio door then consider giving at least 50cm either side.
2. Select your operation
The operation of your Awning is the next choice you need to make. With our fully cassette Sun Awning - the Carino - electric operation comes as standard though either of our other Sun Awning types allow for a choice of manual or electric.
You need to then choose which side you would like the operation on. If your Awning choice is manual then this will be the side that the handle is used. If the Awning is electric then this is the side that the motor cable will come from. The handing is defined by imagining that you are standing outside facing the Awning mounted on the wall.
2. Customise
The Frame colour is the next choice for your Patio Awning. The frame colour is important as it will blend with your property, especially when not in use. As well as our standard colours, any frame colour can be achieved but some do carry an additional cost.
Your Awning fabric is the next choice to make. Darker Awning fabrics will offer a greater UV protection that the lighter fabrics. Choose from plain fabrics or striped fabrics to fit your desired look.
Next is the valance. This is a piece of fabric that can be scalloped or straight. It does not retract back into the awning at all though can be great at stopping the sun from creeping in under the front of your Patio Awning.
The valance is removable and we would advise you remove it when you get to the winter months or in excessive winds to protect it from damage.
